What's the role?

The role of our Energy & Industry Business Developer is to develop sales, drive specifications and foster long term relationships with local and international key accounts, and projects, within Central Asia.You will lead and/or guide the local project teams to convert specifications into net sales and be the point of contact between global and regional teams.

What does the role involve?

The role is based in Baku, Azerbaijan and you will build a high level of contact inside EPCs and Energy Key Account Customers in Central Asia. Through this you will create sustainable business relationships with decision-makers and present the Hilti value proposition and differentiation to secure business.

You will steer the sales and business development activities, defining and driving the actions which will lead to the development of market share in the E&I area. You will identify business opportunities to allow for local application to secure profitable growth in the various product lines, while expanding the buying customer platform. Developing accounts, and key project penetration strategies and action plans, are also a key responsibility of this role.

We fill 80% of our management positions with our own internal candidates. It’s testament to how much we value and develop our people.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil or Mechanical,
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written), Turkish and/or Russian is required,
  • Experience working in a technical sales role, with proven success in selling value adding solutions to contractors/end users,
  • Familiarity with project plans, specifications, bidding processes and commercial terms,
  • Proven relationship management, and contract negotiation skills,
  • Motivation to learn, to develop and to grow within the organization locally or internationally,
  • A target and solution-oriented mind-set,
  • Mobile and flexible to travel (up to 70% travel),
  • Resident in Azerbaijan or willing to re-locate.

As a Territory Sales Representative, you’ll be visiting our customers, wherever they’re busy working, to find out how we can help them. You could find yourself on construction sites and offices and /or in warehouses.
